EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Emergency travel documents are issued to Sudanese nationals who have lost their passport, or whose passport has expired.

Requirements:

  • Filled-out and signed application form.

  • A letter of request addressed to the Consul written in Arabic.

  • Two (2) passport sized photos attached with the application form.

  • A copy of the passport.

  • A police report (if passport has been stolen).

  • Proof of legal residence in Norway, Denmark or Iceland.

  • Copy of the applicant’s driver’s license.

  • Flight ticket/reservation*.

  • Applicants below the age of 18 require a copy of the parents’ Sudanese passports or ID, a copy of their marriage certificate, and a letter of consent from the father written in Arabic allowing the applicant to obtain an emergency travel document.

  • Applicants below the age of 18 travelling without their parents are required to submit a letter of no objection signed by the father, a copy of the identification documents of the father must also be submitted.

  • 1000 kr processing fees.

Important Information

– Please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing.

– *Applicants are strongly advised to check whether the airlines will accept the emergency travel document issued by the embassy before booking a ticket. Direct travel routes are recommended as the emergency travel document allows travel ONLY to Sudan.

– Flight itineraries are not considered means to expedite processing. The embassy will not bear any responsibility for changes that may occur in the applicant’s flight arrangements due to delays in processing.
